Does chiropractic help with headaches?
"I was in an accident 4 years ago and it has given me problems ever since. I was having headaches everyday and pain in my upper back. After my first adjustment from Dr. Khan, I was able to lift my arms above my head, turn my neck without pain, no headaches, and I finally got a good night's sleep."

Symptoms: Headaches and pain in upper back
"I hit my head, causing a whiplash motion. My neck began to tighten and I was in discomfort, had headaches, and stiffness. Dr. Khan adjusted me and gave me a laser treatment. In twelve hours, I was pain-free and my neck could move freely with only one treatment.
Lynn Ghesquiere
Symptoms: Neck pain, limited range of motion, headaches
"I have suffered with chronic headaches for most of my life. I have been to several doctors and have had many tests done. I've spent about $5,000 with no real results. The only thing that these doctors have done for me is to prescribe two medications, which I took for over six years and still had migraines. Working and functioning in everyday life was the battle... I told Dr. Khan my whole story and I told him that I didn't have a lot of money. He told me he was more concerned with getting rid of the headaches than the money. After a few treatments with Dr. Khan, my migraines have disappeared. I finally feel like a normal person. Thank you, Dr. Khan, for not only making me pain-free, but for really caring. I highly recommend him to any pain-sufferer."

"I had very painful migraines every morning and afternoon for a whole year. Of everything I tried, nothing worked. It only took four adjustments and I haven't had a migraine headache since. It truly is a miracle and I thought they would never go away. Thank you, Dr. Khan!"

"I suffered from headaches for about 20 years. I had sought other treatments but nothing seemed to work. I started seeing Dr. Khan in June of 1994. It only took one adjustment to feel the 20 years of strain and pressure of the spine that I had felt. It really was such a relief. Never would I have thought that only one treatment would give me so much energy and relief that would help me get through the days. Before coming to see Dr. Khan, I would see other doctors about my migraines. All they did was give me drugs; nothing gave me relief until I started seeing Dr. Khan. Thanks so much for everything."

"I have had a humming in my ear for 4 months and the medications that I was prescribed by my medical doctor did not help at all. After only one treatment, my humming stopped almost immediately. I only wish I would have came in sooner! Thank you, Dr. Khan!"

"I had arthritis in both hands and could not even pick up a pin. I had gone to my medical doctor and received many shots with no relief. I continued seeing my medical doctor for 30 weeks but was still in lots of pain. I came to Dr. Khan and after two adjustments, my pain was gone. I haven't been in pain for three months and I'm feeling great! I would not hesitate to come back if necessary."

"When my youngest son, Peter, was 11 months old, he had his first apnea episode. He got upset and cried because he didn't get what he wanted. He cried for a little while, we don't believe in letting our children cry long, but we don't give them anything they want, either. He cried for about 30-40 more seconds and then instantly stopped. He turned around and then fell to the floor, lifeless, apneas, and cyanotic. I then picked him up and provided rescue breathing for about 10 seconds. Peter then started breathing on his own and started crying. He quickly pinked-up. When my officers from the fire department showed up, I refused transport because Peter was doing well. We thought that he might have choked on something and that this was an isolated incident. However, over the next few months, Peter had small episodes of apnea. Mom quickly held him to calm him down. If Mom didn't pick him up, she was afraid of him going unconscious and apnea. If she left him to do any small tasks, like getting the mail or leaving the room, he would just become apnea. What we noticed was that every time he would cry or get angry, he would just stop breathing. Then, about four months later, Peter again started crying, and after about a minute, he had another episode. I quickly gave him rescue breaths. But this time he wouldn't breathe on his own. My wife called 9-1-1 again. Peter started breathing on his own after about 1 minute of rescue breathing, but then he quit again. I again gave rescue breaths for about 30 seconds. During the second time, Peter had a seizure due to hypoxia. By the time Armada Township Fire Department arrived, Peter was breathing on his own, but he was very lethargic and pale. I told my chief that this time I wanted to transport my son ALS to the hospital. We then transported him as protocol to the hospital. At the hospital, the ER staff did blood tests, head CT, EEG, and 24-hour monitoring and all tests came back negative, showing nothing wrong. The ER doctors gave the diagnosis of a "very good breath holder". Then at the follow-up visit with the pediatric doctor she told us that Peter is a very good breath holder and that he will probably outgrow it. I told her that Peter doesn't hold his breath, he cries himself out of breath. I asked her if it could be that something is not allowing Peter's hypoxic drive to kick in. She again stuck with the "breath-holding" theory. She also said that because I am in EMS that I jump in too quickly and that Peter would start breathing fine if I just leave him alone. I totally disagree. When I had my next appointment with Dr. Khan, I explained this to him. My wife and I then brought Peter in for his first adjustment. Within four hours, Peter's complexion and demeanor greatly improved. Dr. Khan had us bring Peter in everyday for three to four weeks. Peter hasn't lost his breath since. The real problem was two of the cervical vertebrae were twisting, pinching the phrenic nerve, which controls the hypoxic drive. Peter is now 19 months old, and has not had an apnea episode since. The whole family sees Dr. Khan regularly. Thank you, Dr. Khan."

"I had a such severe headaches that I could not see. I was constantly incapacitated. I was taking prescription Methadone for chronic pain, which was stronger than Morphine. My headaches are now gone because of regular chiropractic adjustments. I can now function as a normal person after three years of horrific pain. Now, as soon as I feel tension, I prevent any headaches by letting Dr. Khan 'do his stuff'. He is truly a messenger from God and he has healing hands."

"I was diagnosed with bipolar depression. I suffered from fatigue, panic attacks, depression, and ADD for 7 years. I was put on several medications including Prozac, Ritalin, Depakote, Tegretol, and several others with several terrible side effects. Several psychiatrists and medical doctors prescribed these drugs. Dr. Khan was able to take the time to explain why I was suffering. After 3 adjustments, I was feeling less tired and depressed. My energy level was also much better. After 2 1/2 months, I'm not taking any medications and I feel great! Dr. Khan is definitely a kind man who cares about his patients. Thank you, Dr. Khan!"

"Approximately 3 1/2 weeks ago, I had woken up from a night's sleep with a severe headache. This went on daily with pain, nausea, and dizzy spells. I woke up on the third week and tried to get out of bed and got super dizzy and nearly lost consciousness. I called my family doctor and she told me to go to the emergency room at Mt. Clemens General. At the hospital, they proceeded to test me for tumors and aneurysm in my brain. The test were EKG, CAT scans, blood tests, and spinal tests (some very painful). But still some headaches persisted. The hospital gave me a shot for the pain. It lasted about 4 hours, and then the pain was back. Then my sister-in-law suggested that I go to Dr. Khan. He told me to give him a week and my headaches would be gone. I figured I had nothing to lose since I already had been putting up with my headaches for this long. After the first adjustment, I had 5 hours of relief, then my headaches came back. That evening, Dr. Khan adjusted me again. That night I had 12 hours of relief and was able to wake up without any pain. This time, a half hour I woke up, my headaches came back. I went to Dr. Khan and he adjusted me again and I had relief for 24 hours. Today is Wednesday and I have not had any headaches since Saturday. I am looking forward to not having anymore headaches with continued chiropractic treatment. Some people consider chiropractors expensive, but I found it is cheaper than my insurance deductible with better results and less pain (no needles). I will continue seeing Dr. Khan and would recommend him highly to anyone. He even offered to see me on Sunday (outside of office hours) if my headaches were to come back. He even called to see if I was alright. Again, I would like to thank Dr. Khan for all of his help. I will continue to see him as needed before a medical doctor for any headaches in the future. Thank you for everything, Dr. Khan and staff."

"I was experiencing elbow pain a few years ago. I was given a steroid injection and told wearing a tennis elbow strap would alleviate the pain, but I only noticed moderate improvement. Shakila from Dr. Khan's office asked what had happened when she noticed the brace. I told her the story and she said to stop by the office after work. I was very skeptical about seeing a chiropractor but I decided to give it a try. After just a couple of visits for adjustments, I was pain free. Dr. Khan told me that he could help with my lower back pain as well. There weren't many days that I was able to go without using Icy Hot and taking Tylenol or Motrin to get through the day. Now I rarely have to use anything thanks to seeing Dr. Khan for regular adjustments. Most Recently, this past winter, I woke up with terrible foot pain. I called and made an appointment with a podiatrist. I had a standing Wednesday night appointment. Yet after months of injections, compression wraps, and an actual cast, I was no better than when I originally presented. I was actually planning on surgery to cut one of the tendons in my foot. That was when Dr. Khan told me about a new laser he had at the office. I have found more relief after just a handful of laser treatments than 6 months of visits to the podiatrist. I'm almost pain-free and walking without at limp. So a huge thank you to Shakila for giving me a push to try this area of medicine and to Dr. Khan for being phenomenal in chiropractic treatments. I feel better than I have in years.
